Year 10 2025-2026
Welcome to your Year 10 at SVC
This page is for students and parents/carers alike to find out information regarding courses, support and general day to day life of Year 10 at SVC.
Study is a life long learning skill, central to our Village College ethos – but alongside this, make sure that you balance interests, hobbies, sports and arts. Whatever world this year leads you to, you need to remember grades are important but it is also important you leave us as the most rounded, confident and best person you can be.
With the Year 11 already very zoned on in their exams, there are some amazing opportunities for you to extend your learning and skills – look for leadership opportunities, participation events and, as older members of the school, a chance to mentor and show example.
As you go through the year, your tutor is your main day to day contact, but you can also contact your SSA, Head of House and your Year 10 horizontal (Thursday) tutor.
For a reminder of course information videos, Core and Option subject outlines, Head of Subject contact details and a general reminder of KS4 structure, please see the Guided Choices page
