Year 9 2026-2027

Welcome to the start of your KS4 journey at SVC. This year will be about consolidating your foundation knowledge and understanding, honing you personal study skills whilst balancing extra-curricular, hobbies and interests that all feed into you as a fully rounded student.

Your first point of contact as a student and as a parent is your tutor. You have your vertical tutor, but also your horizontal/life skills tutor (Tuesday staff!) They are your day to day ‘go to’ – do send them an email if you have an questions/concerns. Your subject staff will also be able to help with subject specific queries – but as specialists and passionate teachers, they will be able to support you as you start your GCSEs together.

Links to the subject exam boards can be found here, on the main KS4 page (we will be adding study guide info soon)

Make the most of your time and build up skills but ensuring that you participate in clubs, opportunities and trips… it is never too late to try something new, or push yourself. Info on our clubs can be found here.
