Year 11 2026-2027

Welcome to the final year of your journey through Swavesey Village College

This page is you main source of Year 11 information, subject details, support and advice for your future and tips/revision notes for students (and parents).

Please keep a close eye EVERY WEEK on the Year 11 sections of the Friday Bulletin as this will have more time-relevant items with actions.

It is an exciting year ahead for you all – one which will help you focus your future vision and help you learn and develop in new, exciting and mature ways. You will all be feeling slightly differently about what lies ahead; know that you are not alone in these emotions. The staff are all here to guide you through.

Study is a life long learning skill, central to our Village College ethos – but alongside this, make sure that you balance interests, hobbies, sports and arts. Whatever world this year leads you to, you need to remember grades are important but it is also important you leave us as the most rounded, confident and best person you can be.

As you go through the year, your tutor is your main day to day contact, but you can also contact your SSAHead of House, Mr SucklingMrs Warburton and Miss Thompson (Exams) or students can ‘drop-in’ with Mrs Warburton at lunchtime in Canteen 1.

You will have tutor time sessions, assemblies, interventions, challenges and tasks to help you, but also ask if you need support, encouragement or even just a listening ear, at any time along the way.
