Please read the following with regard to taking students out of school during term time for Holidays.
Local Authority policy advises that;
‘Absence during term time, as a result of term time holidays, interrupts continuity of teaching and learning, disrupts the educational progress of individual children and creates disruption in schools’.
In the light of LA guidance parents need to be aware that:
Parents should not assume term-time leave to be granted and that all leave is granted at the discretion of the school.
Leave will only considered for medical appointments, educational reasons and on compassionate grounds.
Please note; Leave for the purposes of a family holiday will be only granted in exceptional circumstances. If leave is taken without authorisation it will be recorded as an unauthorised absence. The school will endeavour to be reasonable with all applications however a student’s uninterrupted education will be our first consideration.
