  • Uniform update

    Posted: 01/09/17

We are aware that there has been an issue with supply of some items of school uniform due to unexpected high levels of demand from all year groups. We have have been following this up with our suppliers regularly over the summer. We have agreed with our suppliers that they can provide temporary alternatives until the stock arrives. Please reassure children that if items have not yet been delivered or supplied, they should bring a note from parents on Tuesday and we will  allow them to wear old SVC uniform or (for Year 7) primary school uniform until the stock arrives.

  • Sports Day 2017

    Posted: 04/07/17

Before the sports had even begun, we had to check the forecasts. Although the weather had not looked favourable on Thursday, we were given the all-clear. We were fortunate enough to have pleasant, warm weather and thankfully it remained this way throughout the day. The favourites this year were Wilberforce and Pendleton, with rumours of form time training showing their determination to win. However, the other houses were hot on the heels of these two sporting giants, with the race for the top spot a tough one. This year’s sports day proved very interesting, with a variety of new sports and old for all to try and win. Will we see any of today’s athletes in future Olympic competitions?

  • Key Stage 4 Technology Exhibition

    Posted: 16/06/17

    Dear Parent/Guardian,

you and your family are invitied to our very first KS4 Technology Exhibition.  As part of the course this year students had been asked to exhibit their work, this will provide students not only with a valuable experience but also with a good portfolio of evidence to help them seek future career aspirations or a job in a related field. We have also invited the local industry to come along to help us celebrate our achievements this year. The exhibition will showcase the latest work produced by our Y10 & Y11 GCSE Product Design students and also a range of students' work from Engineering, Construction, Food Technology and Hair & Beauty.  Students have once again this year worked very hard within their respective subject areas and have produced some outstanding work. The event will take place on Wednesday 28th of June from 5.30pm to 7.30pm in the B block. The evening will provide an opportunity for students and their parents to celebrate success as an outcome of their hard work during the year.
